RTPA tours “Terranautas”. An exhibition curated by Marcos de la Fuente, which proposes new looks at the world in which we live from the production and artistic research, in a context of social, environmental and cultural change.

This exhibition invites to explore, in an amazing way, the digital machines shaping industry and society today. Through detailed visual narratives, we will discover for example, how the algorithm of the world’s largest social network works; how the exploitation of natural resources and human labor supports an artificial intelligence device; and how communication, computation, classification and control systems have evolved since 1500.

This exhibition brings together 13 recent works by local and international artists that present an innovative vision of how digital technology is shaping our industry and society today. It also includes the winning work of the European Commission’s Arts-driven Innovation Prize for Science and Technology.

This is what LABShop Winter was like. More than 7,300 people came to enjoy the event, celebrating and supporting local commerce, sustainability and talent, in a weekend full of activities, workshops and more than 90 design, craft, art and literature stalls.

The writer and journalist Ángeles Caso and Semíramis González, exhibition curator and art historian, give their views on the causes of the invisibility of women artists throughout history. Together with Héctor F. Lasheras and Begoña Torre, curators of the exhibition, they give a preview of what visitors will find in an exhibition in which technology is the indispensable tool for showing what would otherwise not be visible.
