Creative Day 2025 is the Centre’s annual event dedicated to the creative industries and proposes a double programme that includes a lecture by Antònia Folguera, curator of Sonar +D Barcelona; and a showcase of the projects of LABoral IMPULSA’s resident artists.

This residency is a collaboration between Gijón IMPULSA and LABoral to promote the development of creative processes expanded to the most diverse fields of production and services.

Javier Arruñada (advertising and marketing), Fernando Caicoya (sound), Juan Cañada (IA design), Óscar Molero (animation), Olaya de los Palos (textils), Beatriz Pascual (graphics) and Irene Trapote (textiles) will present their creations.

10:45h / Lecture with Antònia Folguera, curator of SÓNAR+D

• Antònia Folguera curates conferences, festivals and podcast/radio projects that connect the dots (and people) between digital culture, music, arts, science and technology. She is curator of the Sónar+D festival and is part of the curatorial teams of the Eufònic and STRP festivals. She is part of the XRCB (Barcelona Community Radio Network), a community, ethical and technopolitical podcasting platform and research project. She is co-host of the cultural magazine of Ràdio Rambles, a radio station located in a former flower stall on Barcelona’s Ramblas. From 2019 until 2021 she is a member of the jury and tutor of the Barcelona Producció art grants. She moderates and presents countless cultural events, large and small, focusing on arts, technology and culture, but also community projects with an activist angle.
