Beatriz Pascual

6 May 2024 – 31 January 2025

Beatriz Pascual Sánchez was born in Salamanca on 12 January 1989, at 12:30 in the morning, in room 212, a month earlier than expected. She likes to think, although she is not superstitious, that she came into this world with desire.

She spent her childhood in a small mountain village called La Garganta, known as the roof of Extremadura. Later, she studied Advertising Graphics in Salamanca, and around 2010 she moved to Alicante, where she studied Graphic Design at the EASDA. He also did an
Erasmus programme in Augsburg (Germany). Almost recently graduated, she went on an adventure and went to New York to work as an assistant to Isidro Blasco.

On her return, she settled in Madrid, where she learned a lot working as a graphic designer in different companies. However, she realised that advertising was not her thing, so she trained as a frontend developer and started a new path programming and experimenting with code.

This led him to the wonderful world of telecommuting and, at the beginning of 2023, he moved to Gijón, where he is now starting a new stage together with Laboral Centro de Arte and Impulsa.

Project in residence

Taller de serigrafía

This project seeks to create graphic work using collage and other mixed media as a starting point, incorporating elements from nature and combining them with various materials to reconnect with the natural.

To achieve this, experimental and manual screen-printing will be used as a tool, with a simplified, precise and more versatile approach than the traditional process, combined with laser technology and other printing techniques. Emphasis will also be placed on the use of organic materials, as sustainable as possible, with the aim of reducing the negative impact on the planet.

The project is aimed at researching and experimenting with new tools in the artistic and informative field.
