The EMAP residency is aimed at emerging European artists or artists residing in Europe.
This residency program is part of EMAP (European Media Art Platform), a platform of 16 leading European organizations in digital art, new media, bio-art and robotics. Through an annual public call, artists can submit a project to this program, indicating the order of preference to carry out the residency in the organizations that make up the platform. The artists or the host organization will select a local collaborator to carry out the project during the residency.
LABoral provides the selected artist with a grant, accommodation, workspace, travel expenses, production budget, and access to digital fabrication and sound laboratories. In addition, the EMAP program includes solo and group exhibitions, conferences, workshops and other activities to share the knowledge and results of the residencies.
The residency period is 2 months.
