De rerum natura

De rerum natura. On the Nature of Things explores an arcane world. A space of initiation, trial and transformation. A journey into the unknown through the work of six artists with different styles and techniques who nevertheless find the inspiration for their work in nature, its observation and immersion.

The exhibition thus invites us to enter a kind of plastic forest that is both wonderful and exciting, but also disturbing and unsettling. A time of forms or an occupied space in which the works delve into all that is wild and hidden in nature and human beings.

From textile landscapes that invite the senses to awaken, to dimly lit spaces populated by glimpses that reveal a confusing and indeterminate reality in which, nevertheless, we find the vigour of the undeniable.

There are also veils of colour that pursue the primal, as well as works in which the organic charge carries not only ancestral echoes but also everything that is yet to come. Works in which the artisanal is hybridised with the digital, and whose result proposes new artistic languages.

De rerum natura. On the Nature of Things compiles the work carried out by artists in residence at LABoral Centro de Arte y El Palacio. Artistic Residencies and Cultural Action between 2025 and 2026. The selection responds to a common thread: that journey through the genuine, the unsettling and even the upstart, which finds in nature the focus of study and attention, highlighting the different ways of looking and, consequently, the infinite interpretations that nature and the beings that inhabit it offer us.
