The artists develop their project “And upon leaving the earth…” in an artistic residency organized by the Collective of Independent Artists within the framework of RASPA, Asturian Network of Performance and Action

Until 30 July 2016

On Friday, July 29, at 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, July 30, at 7:30 p.m., the artist David Herguedas, the actress Izar Gayo, and the choreographer and contemporary dance dancer Laura Cueto, will present the research result of his residency at LABoral Centro de Arte.

The artists develop their project “And upon leaving the earth…” in an artistic residency organized by the Collective of Independent Artists within the framework of RASPA, Asturian Network of Performance and Action.

Such paths, taken by agents from different disciplines when entering areas that are foreign to them, give shape to a common language or one that can acquire validity, even if it is fragile, as brief as the time that images and actions last. Artists seek to articulate a language that allows them to pay attention to the unexpected, encourages the generation of narratives that link distant experiences, and that will be shaped by interrogating their own creative process.

Body, woman and nature are the three base concepts that artists use as a starting point towards the transition between what we have now and what is to come.

The Collective of Independent Artists wants to promote confluence, contact and intersections between the ways of doing things from diverse areas.
