LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, as a centre for creation and production, promotes a residency programme that aims to support creators from different disciplines. The calls for applications that make up LABoral’s residency programme aim to promote creative and research processes and provide residents with work studios, creative space and support, thus facilitating the development of their projects and enriching them within an exciting and constantly evolving artistic community.
LABoral has a stable programme of activities, but is also aware of the importance of opportunities for collaboration on projects that arise in its immediate environment. In addition, it is committed to the consolidation and growth of the Asturian arts sector, with the CRA (Call for Artistic Residencies) being one of its main tools for contributing to this objective.
Purpose of the call:
In accordance with the aforementioned principles and in line with the programming guidelines of LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, the ultimate aim of the call is to support a maximum of three artistic projects: two projects for studios and one project for LABoratorio de Sonido.
These residencies require the use of workspace at LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial. For this call, one studio will be available between 1 March and 31 July, a second studio between 1 May and 31 July, and the sound laboratory will be available from 1 February to 31 July.
Available spaces:
– Studios: 30 m2 workspaces with natural light and internet connection.
– Sound Laboratory: 122 m2 space, equipped for musical work and fitted with various technical resources: speakers, mixing desk and microphones.
Resources:
– fabLAB: Digital manufacturing laboratory where productions are carried out for resident artists.
– Media library: A space of almost 100 m2, with an extensive collection of documents specialising in art, in several languages and available for consultation.
In addition to those already mentioned, LABoral has various other spaces that can be made available to residents according to the needs that may arise during the development of their projects.
Conditions:
LABoral will provide the spatial, technical and human resources for each project, according to availability and the schedule described in these terms and conditions.
