GRIGRI is an association dedicated to research, communication, creation and cultural production that focuses on participatory design, urban intervention and transdisciplinary community processes.
GRIGRI is formed by the curator and cultural producer Susana Moliner, the architect David Pérez, the audiovisual creator Hadriana Casla and the designer María García.
They work in a collaborative and experimental way, from a situated approach, seeking to maintain a constant dialogue with the context, taking shared experience and links as the fundamental basis for the design and implementation of the work they do. They position themselves in recognition, hospitality and humility to create links outside the expected, the normalised and the standardised, to affect us, transform us and multiply our gaze and perception of our surroundings.
Since 2016 they have created and implemented projects such as Un Botiquín para mi Ciudad, Grigri Pixel, Food Wave, Cocinar Madrid, Haciendo Plaza or Templete Fantástico, coordinated and co-designed talks such as Voces Situadas, accompanied citizen laboratory programmes such as Ciutat Lab, Fuencarral Experimenta or Experimenta Ciudad in Latin America and social and collaborative film projects such as Mulleres de Castelo, emphasising the process and community creation that these initiatives are capable of generating.
Some of his outstanding experiences in working with the relationship between art, science and education have been: the curatorship and coordination of the Ensamblajes programme, promoted by Medialab and with the support of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation; the creation and production for 4 years of the Grigri Pixel programme, a proposal that explored artistic and digital fabrication practices between Africa and Europe, through the fabrication of grigris or magical objects to protect and re-enchant urban spaces with the support of Cooperación Española; and the participation in the programme Hacia una ciudadanía agropolitana by the artist Virginia López in collaboration with LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial.
GRIGRI is part of REACC (Red de Espacios y Agentes de Cultura Comunitario), of Museo Situado, an assembly space of social entities with the Museo Reina Sofía, and of the Mercado Social de Madrid.
Together with Felipe Lombó and María Castellanos, they are part of the committee of experts for the local challenge of Studiotopia II, a project co-funded by the Creative Europe programme.
