Documentary piece created by the BERDE Collective, within the context of the BER[DE]CINE – SHOOTING DIARIES program, which includes the process of creating a collective mural developed with the artist Raquel Sakristán.
The concept of hybridization explored from various angles and being present throughout the development of the work, both at a formal and conceptual level, has given shape and life to a collaborative mural, generating a shared narrative.
The result has had a highly unpredictable component, a result of the process itself, and to a certain extent has revealed aspects of the unconscious reality of the group that created it. Behind this work of hybridization lies the idea that joint creation generates a creative wealth that goes beyond the sum of the parts.
This initiative is part of the Citizen Laboratories project launched by LABoral Centro de Arte. These laboratories are spaces in which hospitality, infrastructure, human resources and tools are provided to develop artistic projects to groups and communities that instill values and hybridize knowledge in the city, linked to mental health, disability, human rights, young people and music. Thanks to these artistic projects, work communities are created that allow for social inclusion and new models of learning and artistic production that improve life together.
Híbridos is funded by the Proyecto Asturies 2022 award, having won in the “Asturian art and culture” category.
