Covadonga Pérez grew up in close connection with the natural environment of Asturias: a landscape of lush forests and open meadows that deeply marked her artistic sensibility. From an early age, both nature and the traditions of her homeland became essential sources of inspiration, shaping a creative vision closely linked to the organic and the authentic. The work exhibited here is a clear example of this, addressing this vital landscape through textile art, in which the sensory is fundamental.

It is a reinterpretation of the landscape genre that not only embraces the pictorial tradition in its genesis, but is also enriched by that of the world of weaving, so closely linked to the feminine sphere.

Vibraciones sonoras (Sound Vibrations) takes this exploration one step further. It is an interactive installation that fuses textile creation with piezoelectric technology in order to explore the relationship between touch and sound. Thus, through pieces made with materials such as wool and fibres, integrated with sensors, the viewer can generate sounds by touching them, depending on the intensity, rhythm and location of the contact.

A work that seeks to transform the perception of textile art, breaking down the barrier between the work and the public. Thus, by allowing direct manipulation, it invites an immersive sensory experience that reinforces the connection between the senses and the environment. Interaction with the pieces stimulates synesthesia between touch and sound, generating a reflection on how we perceive reality.
