Acrylic paint, gouache, spray and pastel on paper

We grow through the people we share our lives with and the spaces we inhabit. In many cases, leaving the family home to share a flat is not a choice but a need, a consequence of not being able to live in one’s own home. But although this cohabitation is imposed on us, it also transforms us: we learn to adapt to different rhythms, habits and ways of looking at the world, and without noticing, all of this shapes us.

This project was born with the intention of capturing those everyday moments that, although they may seem insignificant, leave their mark. Inés Benito focuses not only on scenes inside the home, but also on other places where people meet and socialise. The places where laughter, conversation and complicity are shared are also part of coexistence, reflecting a lighter and more festive dimension of being together.

Her works combine different pictorial techniques to play with textures and lines that transmit different sensations, each bringing its own expressiveness to the images.
