Sound Floor v2 for schools

Sound Floor v2

A well-know surface from everyday life – a carpet – is placed on the floor in a room. The technology is hidden from view; there is not even the slightest hint of a technical device. Stepping on the carpet, however, produces different familiar sounds (animals, musical notes). An educator mediates between the children and the installation to try and bring about playful and didactic activities that inspire group dynamics and strengthen concepts such as exploration, discovery, identification, association, dramatisation, etc. The objective of the experience is to become familiar with the children’s point of view in order to use it for the improvement of the prototype as an educational tool for the cognitive development of the participants.

Time: Wednesdays, from 11:30 am to 1 pm
