Audiovisual software workshops for young professionals


Conception: Green Apple School Financed by: Plan Avanza of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce Dates: a different workshop each month, from September 2010 to June 2011 Duration: weekend intensives. 36 hours spread over 4 consecutive weekends Schedule: Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Sundays, from 12 to 3 p.m.Place: Media Library_LABoral ArchiveEquipment: 24-inch Apple iMac computersGroups: maximum 12 students per workshop (2 per computer)Fees: €50 / reduced (under 35 years), €30Registration: sending an e-mail email to workshops@laboralcentrodearte.org indicating the name of the workshop, first name, last name, NIF and contact telephone number of the participant. With this program, LABoral is committed to contributing and promoting the generation of innovative digital content aimed at promoting the implementation of the information society among citizens, and promoting the creation of spaces open to innovation through the development of sustainable alternatives aimed at change the current production model through the intensive use of new mobile technologies, as well as the establishment of knowledge dissemination networks.

1. Video editing and composition with Final Cut Pro

From September 11 to October 3, 2010Taught by: César Braña, editing and graphics, ZebrasturThe course aims to bring the student closer to the knowledge of editing and digital post-production through a revolutionary tool in design, functionality and features , stimulate creativity and enhance skills to solve the complexities of editing.

2. Web design with CSS, Dreamweaver, introduction to Flash

From October 9 to 31, 2010Teaching: Rubén Delgado, Web developer and engineerWeb design consists of the planning, design and implementation of Web sites and pages. It is necessary to take into account issues such as navigability, interactivity, usability, information architecture and the interaction of media such as audio, text, image and video.

3. Animation and 3D modeling with Softimage

From November 6 to 28, 2010Teaching: Oliver Sánchez, Volumik Estudio CreativoSoftimage is the preferred option of many professionals due to its three strengths: modeling, animation and scene database management. The course introduces the student to the basic concepts of software operation and the optimal work methodology to carry out a 3D project.

4. Graphic design with Adobe Photoshop and FreeHand

From January 8 to 30, 2011Taught by: Ana Gutiérrez Aguado, teacher at Green Apple SchoolThis workshop is aimed at introducing the student to the techniques of creation and photographic montages using a complete range of painting, drawing and retouching tools. With extremely high quality results thanks to the most famous software in the industry, FreeHand is a drawing tool with which you can prepare everything from a simple business card to elements for the Web.

5. Video editing and composition with Motion Graphics
From February 5 to 27, 2011Teaching: Eladio Sirgo, Head of the editing and graphics department, Zebrastur
Motion Graphics is a concept without which audiovisual communication can no longer be understood. The factors of time and movement on the screen are a fundamental part of the design process. Audiovisual projects require solutions that provide added value, going beyond the scope of old-fashioned static proposals.

6. 3D digital painting and sculpture with Zbrush
From March 5 to 27, 2011Taught by: Emilio Álvarez Campo, Volumik Estudio Creativo; Green Apple School teacherThe course introduces the student to the most revolutionary tool in the world of digital painting and sculpture. The standard tool for artists modeling and texturing creatures, characters and all types of 3D models for cinema, video games, advertising, etc.

7. Audio post-production with Logic Express
From April 2 to May 15, 2011Teaching: Mikhail Goldfarb, sound engineer, Ardilla & Feedback
Logic Express is the simplified version of Logic Pro, a MIDI and audio-digital sequencer. It is a software tool dedicated to music production and recording. Automate workflows and add the necessary plugins with the least consumption of resources.

8. 3D modeling, infographics with Cinema 4D

From May 21 to June 12, 2011Teaching: Moisés García, draftsman and 3D infographic designerThis software allows modeling (primitives, splines, polygons), texturing and animation. Its main virtues are a very high rendering speed, a very flexible interface and a very vertical learning curve: you learn a lot in a short time.
