LABoral’s mediation team and the Asturian collective La Bisogno have conceived the following workshop-visit aimed at children and primary school children. The exhibition Estación Experimental presents the work of a group of artists who understand the creative process as a form of experimentation. They transform their studio or workplace into a testing ground in which they combine art, science and, in many cases, technology.

The activity begins with a guided tour in which the installation Ecografia (no tocar, por favor) by Julio Adán is taken as a reference. An interactive and sonorous installation where the presence of the spectator is what sets the motors and sensors in motion, starting up the machines that create images in a random way.

The workshop consists of a large group game, in which we will discover the secret life of some unconventional instruments, in which we will all participate by creating an original musical composition. We will use bottles, xylophones, trumpets, beach buckets, horns, pans, etc. as instruments.

Help with transport

If you are interested, we offer a transport subsidy of 60 euros for schools from the cities of Gijón, Oviedo and Avilés and 100 euros for schools from other towns.
