Fernando Corona (Murcof) is admired for having created a highly personal organic sound that incorporates strong influences from classical, ambient and minimal music, based on an intricate manipulation of diverse acoustic sources. He began his career in his native Tijuana, Mexico, and was an original member of Baja California’s Nortec Collective under the name Terrestre. Since then he has released a dozen albums, has participated in several high-profile audiovisual projects, including his highly acclaimed collaboration with AntiVJ, has collaborated with artists as relevant as Erik Truffaz and Vanessa Wagner and has signed several soundtracks such as La Sangre Iluminada or Lost in Time.
