mapaSONORU is a project created in 2009 by Juanjo Palacios that aims to awaken interest in the soundscape, attentive listening and field recordings. One of the objectives is to create a sound map of Asturias.

Juanjo Palacios proposes two activities to celebrate International Listening Day 2013:

Take a few minutes out of your day to listen carefully to your surroundings. It is worth taking the time to listen to the sounds around you!
If you are in Asturias on 18 July and you have an audio recorder, find a soundscape that you find interesting, record it and if you feel like it, send it to mapaSONORU.
