Learning through design. AuLAB 2014-15

Innovation programme in collaboration with the Directorate General for Professional Training, Curriculum Development and Educational Innovation at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Principality of Asturias.

AuLAB is established as a laboratory to research about education, build new learning spaces supporting a change in the organizational and curriculum model.

Fab labs began as an outreach Project form MIT´s Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA), and spread around the world in a global network of local labs, enabling invention by providing access for individuals to tools for digital fabrication.

Students and teachers develop a project using digital fabrication process and fab lab machines.
This experience allows students to decide about what to learn and when, fostering critical thinking, team work, interaction with technology among other competencies.
