Introduction to Max/MSP workshop

16th to 18th march 2016

Max is used for composing, creating and designing interactive programs with music and multimedia. It has a lot of flexibility for interaction with a wide variety of communication media, protocols and interfaces.

In this type of language, functions or “objects” are connected or “patched” to each other in a graphical environment that models the flow of control and audio.

This workshop is a basic introduction to object-oriented programming starting from the primary libraries of data control, automation and the manipulation and treatment of sound matter with MAX/MSP.

Dates: March 16 to 18, 2016.

Taught by: Andrés Duarte, Sound Laboratory. Aimed at: musicians, DJs, designers, sound technicians, composers, creators, programmers and interested general public who want to enter the world of audio programming. No prior knowledge is necessary.

Duration: 12 hours
