This introductory course will cover the fundamentals of using laser cutting in digital manufacturing and will describe the main laser cutting technologies, their advantages, disadvantages and main uses. Course attendees will receive notions about the materials to be used, the characteristics of the equipment, the workflow (from 2D design to manufacturing) and the preparation of the machine. The course will close with a practical session on using the laser, in its engraving, marking and cutting variants.
