How to draw sound – How to sonify the visual with Processing & Sonic PI

23th to 27th january 2019

We will learn how, using the OSC protocol, we can exchange data between one tool and another. Sonic Pi is a synthesizer that allows us to make sounds created from text commands. We can modify the piece while it plays, within what is called “Live Coding”. Processing is an open source programming language and integrated development environment based on Java, easy to use and that serves as a means for teaching and producing multimedia and interactive digital design projects. https://processing.org

Through a creative approach we will delve into the first lines of code and learn how to use sound data to create generative graphs and how we can create sound through the generative graph. https://sonic-pi.net
