Within the framework of the Electroacoustic Music Meetings

The success achieved by the Concert for Augmented Instruments, held last year, marked the beginning of the collaboration of LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial with the Electroacoustic Music Meetings, organized by the Municipal Cultural Foundation of Gijón.

In this edition, this support translates into the co-production and presentation of the play Hamlet o la tuba offende, a collaborative creation of the eme ensemble in the form of a musical farce, as an iconoclastic tribute to William Shakespeare on the fortieth anniversary of his death.

Under the name eme a variable number of teachers, students and professionals of music, stage and other performing arts are grouped. Since 2010, they are the origin, sustenance and embodiment of these meetings, which represent a decisive commitment to the aesthetics of Electroacoustic Music carried out in our region and with a notable external projection.
