Ana G. Argüelles presents the video Festina Lente (2023), completed shortly before the start of her residency at LABoral, and the starting point for a reflection on the construction of memory and the difficulties of keeping them. These reflections are materialised in Veintiún branos na to ventana (2024), an interpretation of the kitchen curtain in her grandparents’ house, woven by the artist as a result of her initiation in the technique of luanquoise mesh during her residency. The textile piece is shown on the working frame, built by the artist’s grandfather, so that not only gestures and words are inherited. But also a way of doing with the materials.
