Mario M. Martínez proposes how a series of stimuli from the digital world alter our biometric parameters in the real world: the notification light on our mobile phone, a certain sound on our computer or a subtle vibration can unleash different emotional reactions.
His installation, which is composed of sculptural, audiovisual and sound elements, is a system whose parts affect and produce reactions to each other, simulating the triggered response that all these signals provoke in people.
The artist carries out research on all these questions during a two-month residency at Plataforma 0, LABoral’s Production Centre.
