26th september 2009 – 11th january 2010

26 September 2009 – 11 January 2010

The exhibition “Climate Change: Ideas and Perspectives from Ibero-America” presents the best works selected from the prize of the same name organised by the Organisation of Ibero-American States (OEI) and the Energy, Environmental and Technological Research Centre (CIEMAT) and sponsored by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

From among the more than three hundred works received from all over Ibero-America, including photographs (category “Miradas”) and popular science articles (category “Ideas”), the jury selected for this exhibition a mosaic of portraits and local proposals on global climate problems.

The decision was made public on September 26, 2009 in the framework of the citizen consultation World Wide Views on Global Warming (WWViews), also held at LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial. The winners were Amparo Vilches and Daniel Gil (Spain) with the article El cambio climático y el chocolate del loro in the Ideas category and Julissa de los Ángeles Morales Pérez (Nicaragua) in the Miradas category with the photograph entitled Escapando del peligro. The only alternative.
