EMAP (European Media Art Platform) is a platform of 16 leading European organizations in digital art, new media, bio-art and robotic art, led by werkleitz (Germany) and co-funded by Creative Europe since 2018.
LABoral Centro de Arte is the only Spanish organization participating in this project that offers, to European artists or artists residing in Europe, two-month residencies in one of the network members’ headquarters.
Through an annual call for applications, each organization provides the artist with a grant, travel expenses, production budget, accommodation and access to laboratories and work facilities. In addition, the EMAP program includes solo and group exhibitions, conferences, workshops and other activities to share the knowledge and results of the residencies.
The international network of partners is constantly growing and currently offers artists the opportunity to present their work to more than 100 partners in 40 countries.
