Occupy spaces with moving images
The use by artists of video installations and interactive installations as a way to develop their strategies is becoming broader and more interesting as technology evolves and converges.
Video art is a medium that was born in the era of television, adapted to a format: the single-channel screen. In installations, artists use objects and images to place the viewer within a specific space. Video installations are interventions in which moving images are used. The support for these images can be one or several screens, but they can also be projected onto space or onto any type of objects and materials.
In interactive installations, the physical presence of the viewer activates, deactivates, conditions, or modulates the result of the projections using digital technology. This technology and the possibility of scientific advances in robotics, genetics, nanotechnology, artificial life, etc. Used by creators in all types of spaces and places, they multiply the possibilities of the artistic community and the cultural industry.
