Children’s workshop: The vegetable city, a mutant home

Until 14 January 2023

Workshop for children linked to the Plug-in Habitat exhibition by Paula Nishijima.

In this workshop we will discover the intelligence of plants, how they adapt to changes in their environment, cooperate with each other and protect other species. What can we learn from them? Can you imagine that our houses could also adapt to changes?

During the workshop we will visit the interactive installation Plug-in Habitat by artist Paula Nishijima, who has researched the powers of Asturian plants to adapt to the harsh climate of our mountains.

Finally, we will be inspired by what we have learnt to design, model and build our own mutant houses with biomaterials.

Activity aimed at children from 6 to 12 years old.
