Installation

The piece Eco digita by Alberto Valverde and María Castellanos participates in the baroque passion for mirrors, for multiplying reality and provoking apparitions, returning images that were reflected in the past. Inspired by the myth of Narcissus and the nymph Echo, the installation invites the spectator to see himself in the reflection of the water found in a washbasin, his image being captured by a camera that projects it onto a screen, repeating it in an endless loop. The programme keeps the memory of all those who are reflected in the water, forming a world of digital spectra, of portraits with clear pictorial roots.
