Visual artist and programmer

Lives and works in the USA

NO CARRIER, or Don Miller, is a visual artist and programmer based in Philadelphia. He reprograms video games and computer hardware on the verge of obsolescence for use in installations and live music events. He codes primarily for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and the Commodore 64, creating visual works that incorporate new and recycled symbols and patterns. Miller has performed, taught and lectured, and shown his work in the United States and Europe. His work simultaneously explores the culture of technological do-it-yourself and the memory of a generation raised on interactive media technologies.
