LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, as a centre for creation and production, promotes a residency programme that aims to support creators from different disciplines. The calls that make up LABoral’s residency programme aim to promote creative and research processes and provide residents with working studios, creative space and support, thus facilitating the development of their projects and enriching them within an exciting artistic community in constant movement.

LABoral has a stable programme of activities, but it is also aware of the importance of opportunities for collaboration in projects that arise in its immediate surroundings. In addition, it is committed to contributing to the consolidation and growth of the Asturian artistic sector, with the CRA residency (Convocatoria de Residencias Artísticas) being one of its main tools to contribute to this objective.

Purpose of the call:

The call, in accordance with the aforementioned principles, and in accordance with the programming lines of LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, has the final aim of supporting a maximum of 6 artistic projects: 4 projects for studios and 2 projects for LABoratorio de Sonido.

These residencies have as a condition the use of the work space at LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, for at least one month and up to a maximum of six months between February 4, 2025 and July 31, 2025.

Spaces available:

• Studios: 30 m2 workspaces with natural light and internet connection.
• Sound Lab: 122 square metre space, fitted out for musical work and equipped with different technical resources: loudspeakers, mixing desk and microphones.

Resources:

• fabLAB: Digital fabrication laboratory where productions are made for resident artists.
• Library: A space of almost 100 m2 with a large collection of documents specialising in art, in several languages and available for consultation.

LABoral has several spaces, in addition to those already mentioned, which can be made available to the residents according to the needs that may arise during the development of their projects.

Conditions:

LABoral will provide the spatial, technical and human resources for each project, according to the availability and schedule described in these terms and conditions.
