Trendelenburg call produced by LABoral Center for Art and Industrial Creation

The international platform for digital culture in public spaces Trendelenburg convenes together with LABoral Centro de Arte a project to develop the No Electricity For Electronics platform.

No Electricity For Electronicsis an open-source, free-to-download tool that will allow you to develop multimedia projects (audiovisual shows, installations, cultural routes) in any space without the need for electrical connections through a local streaming network. The public connects from their smartphone or tablet to that WIFI and you can immediately enjoy the experience through your headphones and the screen in real time. All without any external power supply. An electronic unplugged, in short, without production, logistics, or noise problems.

The objective of the call is to create a remote work group of a maximum of 5 collaborators in order to develop (the platform is currently in an initial testing phase) and complete the technical evaluation of the platform for its international distribution .

For this reason, the call is aimed at creators specialized in programming, streaming, mobility or video processing platforms and interested in collaborative network work (local, national and international). People with advanced knowledge of high-performance Wi-Fi environments and/or with experience in IT project management and associated tools.

The selection criteria will be based on similar projects previously developed and the experience of each participant.

The selection of participants will be carried out by a jury made up of members of the Trendelenburg Platform and LABoral Center for Art and Industrial Creation.

Deadlines
The deadline for sending the application ends on August 4, 2014.

The publication of the selection of participants will be on July 22, 2014 through our website and Social Networks.

The development of the working group is estimated to take place between July 22 and August 21.

Documentation about the working group will be displayed on the Trendelenburg website. Subsequently, the No Electricity For Electronics platform will be publicly presented within the framework of the Trendelenburg4.5 International Meeting from September 11 to 14, 2014 in different Asturian cities.
