Audiovisual storytelling for schoolchildren

25th november 2014

This workshop will work on different basic concepts of audiovisual language based on the following questions: Why and how to tell a story? What and how is a script? Does cinema exist without a script? Why can an image be worth more than a thousand words? Why this shot and not another? Why this light and not another? Is the story still decided after filming? How did sound transform the way of narrating? Why don’t Spanish-speaking actors sound like those in foreign films?
Knowledge of the medium of film allows students not only to develop a critical view of images, but also to work on basic skills through the analysis of practical examples.
