Metal, globes and eco-friendly paint

Washings Series subjects the globe to a number of different chromatic washes in an allusion to the ideological “washing” strategies of contemporary capitalism: greenwashing, pinkwashing and purplewashing.

The six pieces function as totems in a simulation: the installation highlights how social struggles become images and how the language of transformation can be taken over by advertising and market rationales.
