Video and light boxes

Untitled is an audiovisual piece made through found footage. All the films used are home recordings that have been collected by the author over the years.

By means of a meticulous manual technique in the purest “do it yourself” style, each 8mm frame has been manipulated and distorted individually, erasing part of the image and de-contextualising its protagonists. Through the manipulation of images in an analogue format, the work not only plays with the concept of identity and its representation, but part of the concept is implicit in the manipulation process itself, as well as in the analogue film support used.
