This installation presents a set of flags that serve to depict a collapsing world, challenging dominant narratives of power and territory.

Here, the five flagpoles and their flags are not hoisted in representation of national identities, but rather challenge the idea of sovereignty and unity associated with these emblems.

The flags operate as symbolic surfaces that encapsulate collective ideals while highlighting the political, social and geopolitical tensions that underlie their seeming neutrality, encouraging us to rethink what it is that constitutes a “brave new world” in contexts of inequality and conflict.
