Ten years ago Sidra Trabanco, Sidra Muñiz, Sidra Foncueva and Sidra Peñón joined forces to launch the first quality guarantee certificate in this sector. Sidra de Manzana Seleccionada produces cider made with only 20 selected varieties of Asturian apples and, in order to obtain the back label that identifies it, it must pass the Notable in a Tasting Table made up of the most renowned independent cider tasters in Asturias. Half of its production is distributed in different parts of Spain and in European countries, America, Asia and Oceania. It is the only cider in the world included in the Slow Food movement’s Ark of Taste, a reserve of foods selected on the basis of their condition as healthy, fair, clean and quality products.
