Stones found, labels and vinyl

(2010-2026)

–

This installation transforms fragments of the present into vestiges of a civilisation in crisis. Different stones that were found are displayed as archaeological pieces, accompanied by a text by María Zambrano which links ruin, memory and survival.

The museum-style presentation suggests that what we see already belongs to the past. Each stone embodies the “victory of failure” spoken of by Zambrano, highlighting the persistence of that which survives its own destruction. The museum becomes a critical mirror that reveals progress to be fragile, and every object in a state of ruin takes on a sacred dimension. In this manner, the installation challenges the notion of heritage and memory, questioning what traces we will leave behind and how they will be interpreted.

Rather than recreating a linear narrative, it presents an unstable archive in which the museum ceases to be a neutral space of preservation and becomes a critical mirror of our time: a place that showcases the fragility of the narratives that underpin the notion of progress.
