During the 70s/80s, weather forecasting in Spain became very popular thanks to popularisers such as Mariano Medina, a real celebrity. Likewise, in Asturias, the variability of the climate made meteorological aspects a crucial topic in the conversations and concerns of the people. In few places in Spain is the transformation and change of the weather more palpable. The endless rainy seasons in autumn and winter are childhood memories for generations. That is why it is perhaps not too strange that an artist from this region should use the weather as a metaphor for a series of artistic works. It should also be noted that in the Spanish language “tiempo” semantically encompasses both temporality and climatology, which is important for the understanding of this work.
