Artist Maï Diallo presents two seductive sculptures that explore the most organic and incipient, perhaps embryonic, side of nature. Two creations in which the ancestral and the undefined future are rooted. These works pose questions, undermining certainty in an exercise of doubt and astonishment from which floral beings of uncertain nature emerge, allowing the artist to explore different interpretations and formal positions. In this regard, Maï Diallo seeks to activate a sensitive archive in the form of artistic creation: a symbolic space where subaltern knowledge and bodies can reappear, overflowing official narratives.
The pieces created for this project inhabit a space halfway between the artificial and the genuine. Their false unctuous appearance contrasts with the firmness of their presence: a game of probabilities that delves into the unestablished, the different. A commitment to accommodate that which lies beyond the defined and accepted, as a kind of invitation to let oneself be carried away by the overflowing power of the imagination.
