Project in residence

Kolapso

Kolapso is a drama that explores human relationships and racial and cultural prejudices in the context of a borderline situation.

It is the story of two people who meet because of a train accident. There are only three people on the train. A woman, a boy and the train driver, who is killed in the accident. The woman, who is divorced and has two children, is travelling to visit her eldest son in the city where he is studying, as the boy has addiction problems.

The young man on the train is studying to become a train driver and returns home to see his father. After the accident, they are both trapped in a mountainous area in the middle of a cold snap.

The snow, the cold and the impossibility of calling for help put their lives in danger. From here, the whole fable unfolds: the conflict of survival and, later on, the conflict generated by racial and cultural prejudices and, in general, by the distrust we feel towards the unknown.
