Project in residence
AntiVolume is an immersion in a synaesthetic space of timbres and colours. This version, IN/EXT, investigates the movements and dynamics that emerge between inside and outside.
In this series of performances, the audience witnesses a volatile and energetic sculpture made of light and sound. The result of algorithmic research, it is sculpted in real time from the artist’s improvisation. Four columns of light occupy the stage. The work envelops the audience, who perceive it as a physical and textured experience.
In this constantly evolving work, each performance, partially improvised, is unique and changes according to the venue and the audience. Lucas Paris draws inspiration from the wide vocabulary of electronic music: noise, ambient, IDM, EDM… These references are reinterpreted by passing them through the filter of a powerful musical personality and a personal fantasy.
Lucar Paris will carry out a residency at LABoral Centro de Arte prior to the presentation of AntiVolume INT/EXT at LEV Festival 2019.
