Marina Martinez is a Mexican designer passionate about creating a world that is accessible to all. Her experience living in four different countries has allowed her to understand diverse realities and to find her mission: to build a more inclusive world.
She studied design at the University of Navarra, where she met Luis, a blind person who taught her that accessibility is essential in design and a requirement which we must all be a part of.
In addition, her time volunteering in Kenya deepened her social engagement and allowed her to develop key interpersonal skills, while photography became her favorite tool for observing and capturing the beauty of cultural differences.
In recent years, she has dedicated her time to exploring the world of education and design from various perspectives, a field she is deeply passionate about.
Marina realized that her true calling is to design accessible services and experiences, convinced that design has the power to transform realities and create more inclusive environments.

What is the point of adapting our cities if, as a society, we still do not adapt to people?
Marea de Gente(Tide of People) is a consultancy specialized in universal accessibility and inclusive design, which aims to train, empower and advise, mainly people without disabilities, within the business and education sector, to build more empathetic, accessible and inclusive environments.
We believe that real change begins with people, through awareness. For this reason, we offer interactive workshops -both face-to-face and digital- that allow people to live with disability through an experiential and transformative experience.
Our mission is to eliminate current barriers to integrate accessibility in various areas of life. To bet today for an inclusive world is also to think of yourself: in the not too distant future, we will all be part of that valuable group of older people, where accessible design will no longer be an option but an important and obvious necessity for everyone.
