Project in residence

Cuatrogüeyos

Cüatrogüeyos unites word and image in designs with messages that transmit:

1. The visibility of women’s work. This is the purpose of our “ELEMENTS” T-shirt design, in which the names and professions of 118 women are shown in the form of a periodic table of physical elements. We are currently working on new designs about women artists.

2. Support for all women who suffer abuse, such as our design “PON VOZ A LOS GRITOS DEL SILENCIO” (GIVE VOICE TO THE CRIES OF SILENCE).

3. The promotion of reading because we believe that it is the way to achieve critical thinking. To this end, we have created a series of designs with animals as the main characters, aimed at both children and adults. For example, our design of a sheep with the slogan “WHEN I READ, I LOSE THE FLOCK”.

4. Respect for minority languages, such as our mother tongue. That’s why our designs always have a version in Asturian.

5. Interest in poetry.
