Ana Villamanan

1 May 2023 – 31 January 2024

(Born in Avilés in 1992)

Since she was little, Ana Villamañan enjoyed experimenting with drawing and painting, which led her, years later, to begin her studies in architecture.

After finishing his degree at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, he decided to specialize in interior design by completing a master’s degree at the same school, since his main interest was the creation of residential environments.

In 2018, he returned to Asturias and started his own interior design studio, also collaborating with other companies in the sector. Thanks to the success achieved, in 2020 I was able to focus 100% on my own studio thanks to the increase in business volume.

Recently, one of Ana Villamañan Studio’s projects has been published in El Mueble magazine, Mi Casa Revista and Casa Rustica. Currently she continues drawing and painting in her free time.

Mi Paisana Wallpaper

The Mi Paisana Wallpaper project focuses on the creation of a wallpaper brand for distribution in online shops and among interior design professionals. The central concept that will unite all the designs will be the interpretation of travel notes taken in different parts of Spain and the transformation of these into physical wallpaper designs.

This project seeks to highlight the geographical diversity of Spain, both in its landscapes and its plant species. All the designs will be handmade, using traditional techniques such as watercolor drawing, and then scanned and mounted in digital tools such as Photoshop.

Production will be made on demand. In addition, sustainability will be prioritized in the choice of papers and inks used in production.

Some of the landscapes that inspire the project are:

  • Rodiles beach in Villaviciosa, with its eucalyptus forest.
  • Tierra Campos, Castilian landscapes full of wheat fields.
  • Palmeral de Elche, also known as the palm orchard of Elche.
  • The Marrows of Lion
