Expert in International Cultural Relations and Development Cooperation with 10 years of experience. She has lived and worked in 7 countries (Belgium, Cuba, Egypt, Spain, France, Panama and Senegal) for Spanish Embassies and Consulates, United Nations Agencies (UNESCO and UNDP) or the European Commission, among others.
In 2019 he decides to return and be closer to home, and the residency at LABoral_Impulsa becomes the best excuse to create his own consultancy company: Implicarte. Her areas of specialisation are cooperation and analysis of international cultural policies, gender equality and the advancement of social rights. Her competences are focused on project management, research, communication and capacity building. Her great dream? Preparing the Universidad Laboral’s dossier as a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Project in residence
After ten years of working in the field of international cooperation, this one-man project focuses on providing services in two areas from Gijón. Firstly, the management of cultural projects. Under the baton of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), Alexandra coordinates the training actions of the PROCULTURA programme in Portuguese-speaking African countries and in Timor Leste, with the aim of increasing job creation in the cultural sector. Secondly, in the field of social communication, following the design of the institutional communication strategy of the project “Being LGBTI in the Caribbean” for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
