Vanina obtained a degree in Image and Sound Designer by the Buenos Aires University. She also has a Master degree on Curatorial and Cultural Practices in Art and New Media by MECAD/Media Centre of Art and Design, Barcelona. Her Master thesis examined the relations between art and mobile technologies. She was teaching and working at MECAD for three years where she organized two exhibitions, coordinated the artist’s residencies programme, and participated in the production and editing of the e-journaland the book “Arte electrónico / Entornos Cotidianos”, among other activities. Actually, she is a PhD Candidate on the Information and Knowledge Society programme – Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She has PhD a grant from the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3). Additionally, Vanina has developed independent research projects like Taxonomedia, focusing on the challenge of media arts conservation, documentation and archiving.
