Astrophysicist at the Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Marseille CNRS in France and Executive Director of the Leonardo publications published by The MIT Press. He is a visiting scholar at the Space Sciences Laboratory of the University of California Berkeley. Malina serves as Chairman of the Board of Leonardo, The International Society for Art, Science and Technology, and as President of the Observatoire Leonardo des Arts et Technosciences in Paris. He is also Vice-President of the International Advisory Council of the Intersociety for the Electronic Arts and a member of the International Academy of Astronautics, and currently an Osher Fellow of the Exploratorium and Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Society and Space Activities. Since 1982 he has served as Executive Editor of the publication Leonardo, where he writes on the relationship between the arts, science and technology.
