In 1998, she graduated from Hamidrasha, Bait Berl College of Arts, Israel. Rottenberg earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts, New York in 2000. In 2004, she completed a Master of Fine Arts at Columbia University, New York. Currently, she lives and works in New York. Her most recent solo exhibitions include: 2011 Squeeze, Cheese, and Tropical Breeze: Video Works 2003-2010, M – Museum Leuven, Belgium; Take Ninagawa, Tokyo, Japan; Dough, Cheese, Squeeze and Tropical Breeze, de Appel Arts Centre, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 2010: New Work: Mika Rottenberg, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, CA; Squeeze, Mary Boone Gallery in collaboration with Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery, New York. 2009: Performance Stills, Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery, New York; La Maison Rouge, Paris, France, Galerie Laurent Godin, Paris, France.
