Manuel Prados

Manuel Prados (Seville, 1981) focuses his practice on artistic research and contextual art, while also working as a cultural mediator and producer. He has worked on contemporary culture projects since 2005, organizing exhibitions and activities in museums and art centers, and collaborating with artists, curators and cultural agents.

Recent projects include INTRA. Preguntas a la Tierra y su género, a collaborative research on mining extractivism in the south of the peninsula and the environmental conflicts it has caused since the 19th century, and Arte en los límites de su percepción, an interdisciplinary work on the senses from a perspective that confronts art and science, the results of which can be seen in the documentary Espectro sensible. From 2018 to 2022 he was part of the Medialab Prado team in Madrid as mediator and researcher of AVLab, Laboratorio de experimentación audiovisual. From 2005 to 2012 he was part of BNV Producciones in Seville, producing contemporary culture projects including the program Arte y pensamiento of the International University of Andalusia.
