Photographer, theorist, critic, teacher, exhibition curator, lecturer at several foreign universities and at the UPF since 1993. For decades, each of Fontcuberta’s works has vindicated the need for profound self-reflection through the image. He is the author of books such as “El beso de Judas”, “Fotografía. Crisis of History” and “Photographic Aesthetics”. His work has been exhibited in Galerie VU, Quebec, (2007); Aperture Foundation, New York (2006); Instituto Cervantes (Paris, 2005); Synopsis Gallery, Lausanne (2004); ARTIUM, Vitoria (2003); Zabriskie Gallery, New York (2003 and 2004); Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome (2001); Museum of Fine Arts, Fukui, Japan; Redpath Museum, Montreal; Canada (1999); or the Graves Art Gallery Sheffield, United Kingdom (1998).
